CINCINNATI (AP) -- Cincinnati police say an officer fatally shot one drug suspect and wounded a second when the suspects allegedly backed into an unmarked police car after a pre-arranged undercover drug buy.

Lt. Kimberly Williams said Thursday that the officer was not injured in the shooting that occurred around 6 p.m. Wednesday. She says one suspect died and the other was treated for a hand wound. Police are searching for a third suspect.

Police say officers were following the suspects' vehicle after the alleged drug deal apparently to arrest them. They say the suspects backed their vehicle into the police car after turning onto a dead-end street.

Williams says the officer reported at least two suspects got out of the car and at least two were armed when he fired the shots.
